Mr James Kok, Head of AIAP-X and Assistant Head of Industry Development, AI Innovation of AI Singapore, will address the advancement of AI across ASEAN. His session will guide industry leaders, C-suite executives and policymakers in implementing Singapore's proven AI programs across ecosystems worldwide. - Global Challenges in Implementing Sustainable Digitalisation Projects
Mr Mohamed Taher Mouni, Founder of Beyond 4.0, and Founding Expert of the Alliance for Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing in Africa (AISMA), a United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) initiative, will examine the complexities of implementing sustainable digitalisation projects on a global scale, addressing implementation challenges and methods for successful cross-cultural engagement.
- Empowering AI in Semiconductor Manufacturing Through Effective Data Practices
Mr Michael Thavarajah, Principal Engineer of Intel Corporation will explore the foundational role of data governance and data management in semiconductor manufacturing AI initiatives. - Human-Machine Collaboration: Harmonising Hybrid Workforces for Effective Coexistence
Mr Edwin Yap, CEO of Jemco Retail Fixtures, will present practical strategies for managing hybrid workforces, drawing from real experiences at Jemco and its new subsidiary, Jemco Technology Solutions (JTS). He will also share how JTS is advancing smart warehouse automation and AI robotics, and present case studies on upskilling traditional manufacturers with the support of SHRDC. - Panel discussion: Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a Catalyst for Innovation and Workforce Enhancement
This panel discussion examines AI's evolving role in manufacturing workforce management. Industry experts including Mr Foong Chee Mun, Director of YTL AI Labs, Mr Jerry Zhao, Deputy General Manager of Overseas Business Department of Inspur Cloud and Mr Sam Majid, CEO of National AI Office Malaysia (NAIO) will explore its impact on workforce dynamics and discuss approaches to enhance productivity while addressing current challenges and opportunities.
IMKL 2025 event features and formats
Complementing its conference programme, IMKL's product showcase area will feature leading companies such as Schaeffler (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Quantum Computing and Moxo Pte Ltd. Visitors will have the opportunity to see smart manufacturing technologies in operation, connect with specialists from various sectors, and discover new solutions to support their business digitalisation.
Meanwhile, the Tech Lab will provide additional depth through a combination of technical demonstrations, specialist workshops and expert discussions. New this year, the Tech Lab will also feature two interactive sessions of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Game, offering participants an engaging way to better understand the United Nations’ 17 SDGs.
